When You Put Your Trust in Pat Kriwokon, Great Things Happen!
EARLY DAYS
Growing up in Cranbrook B.C., life was pretty normal for Pat Kriwokon. In addition to summer vacations with his mom, dad, older brother, and dog Lassie, his favorite pastimes included hockey, baseball, fishing and camping. As Pat grew he had typical after-school jobs, and also entered the world of small business by cutting lawns, delivering newspapers and shovelling snow. Early on he recognized that hard work, open communications and honest dealings led to happy customers and repeat business.
Simon Fraser University in Vancouver was next for Pat, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance. After graduation he started a small company producing advertising for post-secondary students, and then decided to see some of the world. He purchased a ticket for Londo UK, and spent the next year working and travelling in Europe and Africa.
CALGARY BOUND
Upon returning to Canada in the Spring of 1990, Pat realized Vancouver was not home. Without knowing much about the city, he decided to give Calgary a try. He was immediately turned on by the abundant sunshine, hard work ethic and can-do attitude of Calgarians. The vibrancy of the city resonated full-on with Pat's driven personality.
Pat initially worked for six years in the finance and accounting departments of an oil and gas firm. In 1996, he left the corporate world to follow one of his passions -- dogs. With his trusted companion Suzie by his side, he founded DogCity Daycare, and dog daycare in downtown Calgary. Fellow dog lovers gravitated to Pat, and the business grew based on word-of-mouth advertising. In 2001 he sold DogCity to explore other ventures, but still keeps in touch with current owners Steve and Janet Saretsky, as well as many former clients who have become friends. Every day, Pat recognizes how fortunate he is to live in a city with such an abundance of opportunities, yet only a short drive to the great outdoor activities available in the rockies.
SOUTHWEST FOCUS
Pat purchsed his first home in the Southwest community of Glenbrook in 1995, and still resides there today with his wife, Jenny. They love the mature trees, proximity to downtown, genuine people and warm character of the area. Pat truly believes it is a great part of the city, and takes pleasure and pride on focusing his real estate business in his 'home quarter'. "I believe I can best serve the needs of my clients by concentrating on a core area I like and am familiar with."
WORK. LIFE. BALANCE.
In his spare time, Pat has a variety of activities he likes to do. Besides camping and fishing, he also enjoys travelling, swimming, bike riding, volleyball, and watching NASCAR. He also loves the hand-on sense of accomplishment he gets when doing renovations -- either on the home front or with friends. These outside interests help maintain a balance, so that when Pat is working with a client he is able to offer 100% Trusted Southwest Results.
